The countdown for the long-awaited Cycle Cross World Championships in Treviso, Italy, on the 26th and 27th January has begun.
This great occasion could not go without the support of Rudy Project, the Italian company famous for it’s technical sunglasses. As well as welcoming the visitors, the company will also be on the front line as official supplier. “Being protagonists in some of the most important international sporting events is part of our DNA”, explains Marketing Manager, Simone Barbazza. “In addition, this event is very important for us because it provides strong visibility for a spectacular sport (still relatively unknown in Italy), that Rudy Project has been following for years by sponsoring numerous athletes and international events in Northern and Central Europe”, continues Barbazza. “We strongly believe in this event, and it also provides the perfect opportunity to increase the value of the cultural and artistic heritage of Treviso, our hometown.”
A no-limits, four race event (junior, women, under 23, elite), which will see nearly 400 athletes from 45 different nations at the starting line. Among the competitors will be the Belgian champion Sven Nijs, and the Rabobank champion, a team that Rudy Project already follows as official supplier, and which has already achieved twenty-one victories this season. The presence of a large number of fans from the other European nations where cycle cross is particularly popular, such as Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic, is also foreseen.
Rudy Project followers will be able to discover the new 2008 collection of eyewear, helmets, and other sport accessories directly at the sports ground where the well-stocked Rudy Project exhibition truck will be waiting.
