World record for Rudy Project at the Essent Isu World Cup 2007/2008 for long distance speed skating

World record for Rudy Project at the ESSENT ISU World Cup 2007/2008Rudy Project makes its debut with excellent results at the ESSENT ISU World Cup 2007/2008 for long distance speed skating and wins the 5.000 metres together with the italian recordman Enrico Fabris.

The twice time champion in the Turin 2006 Olympics, Enrico Fabris, has established a new world record for the 5000 metre ice speed skating. An excellent performance for the italian athlete, winning his seventh victory in the World Cup and his first for the 5000 metres, where he commanded respect with a time of 6’07"40, a whole 8 hundredths of a second less than the previous record, preceding the Dutchman Sven Kramer and the Norwegian Harvard Bokko.

To compete in the World Cup currently underway in Salt Lake City, Fabris has chosen the newest goggles from the 2008 Rudy Project SportMask Performance collection, technical glasses with an aerodynamic and wrap-around form, so light you forget you’re wearing them. The super-flat temples, the large and enveloping mask shaped lenses to ensure a lateral vision that is free of distortion, and a frame with a brow interface to allow perfect air circulation around the lenses and to avoid misting.
With these winning characteristics the Italian athlete, who also boasts a European title amongst his trophies, is ready to face the new challenges where he’ll be the protagonist over next few days in Calgary (Canada).
