Tough test for the 2012 products at the Tour de France

The Liquigas-Cannondale Team tests Hypermask Performance

The Tour de France just ended was a very rewarding one for the Rudy Project riders, who once again starred at this edition of the "Grand Boucle".

As many as 5 stage wins out of a total of 21, in fact, were shared among Jelle Vanendert, Andrè Greipel, Luis Leon Sanchez, Philippe Gilbert and Tony Martin. Martin, indeed, won the Grenoble time trial, with a time of 55'34'', 6'' ahead of Cadel Evans and as much as 1'05'' ahead of Alberto Contador. The tour also saw Jelle Vanendert (for 5 days) and Philippe Gilbert (for 2 days) wear the polka dot jersey. Gilbert also wore the green jersey, as the Tour's points leader, for 6 days.

Then there were 5 days in the white jersey of the best young rider, on the other hand, for the Dutch rider Robert Gesink, a member of the Rabobank team.

So, a positive result overall for the riders bearing the colours of Rudy Project, which has always been the choice of champions. "The Tour de France" - says Simone Barbazza, Marketing Director at Rudy Project - "is the most important time of the year for testing new products. The tough conditions for the helmets and glasses over the 3 weeks of the Tour are the equivalent of about one year of normal use. The Tour is a test which all our technical products must pass before they can be sold worldwide".
